Bloodborne PS4 DLC
Bloodborne for PS4 takes place in a gothic city called Yharnam, which is known for its medical advances using blood as their primary tool. Many travelers journey to the city seeking the remedy to cure their afflictions; the player takes the journeys to Yharnam seeking a powerful blood known as Paleblood. Upon arriving in the city, however, it is discovered that the city is plagued with an endemic illness that has transformed most of its citizens into bestial creatures. The player must navigate the streets of Yharnam and overcome its violently deranged inhabitants and horrifying monsters in order to survive. Shortly after their arrival in Yharnam, the player encounters a spectral realm called the Hunter's Dream, which acts as both a sanctuary and workshop.
As the player delves deeper into the city, begin to learn its dark secrets, as well as the origin of the plague that's destroying it. Long ago, the residents of Yharnam began worshiping ancient, eldritch beings called Great Ones. The Great Ones provided the miracle remedies Yharnam was famous for, which are also the source of the plague. The plague was spread in Yharnam by the Great Ones in order to foster the growth of an infant Great One. Bloodborne’s semi-open world structure and hard-earned progression draw heavily from the Dark Souls and Demon's Souls games, though the aggressive new pace of combat is all new in Bloodborne. Battles are won with an awesome arsenal of transforming melee weapons and tactical sidearms.
Switching weapons between their light and heavy modes on the fly to string together combo-like attack chains in an engaging way injects a newfound versatility, even if it’s a less calculating kind of battle than we see in From’s earlier games. Being overwhelmed by enemies is commonplace, but you have the ability to leech back lost health with quick counterattacks and to stun opponents with secondary weapons. It’s possible to sustain a constant onslaught when built up enough skill and these tools are absolutely needed, as Bloodborne’s horrifying beasts span an imaginative range, from pedestrian insane village folk to cosmic horrors and patchwork fiends. Each entity is well designed and commands to be feared.
